TV and Film Foreign Workers Get Clearer Path to Working in Canada

Foreign workers in television, film and dance industries will soon have a clearer path to working in Canada.

CIC News, the Canadian Immigration Newsletter, recently published an article stating, “certain non-Canadian workers in the television (TV) and film industries, as well as those working in dance and theatre, may soon find it easier to work in Canada on a temporary basis.”

 

It goes on to say, that the Government of Canada announced that as of Feb. 17 foreign nationals in the TV and film industry, whose position or occupation is essential to a TV or film production, may be eligible for an exemption from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) requirement. Read the full details here
