Graduate Returns from Dubai to Show at Toronto Women’s Fashion Week

When Proshat Sarabloo learned that the Toronto Film School was to host a runway show of student and graduate garments during Toronto Women’s Fashion Week, she knew she would cross oceans to be there—and that is what she quite literally has done.

“I started in Canada so I feel like it is nice for me to have my first show in Toronto and with the school I graduated from,” Sarabloo said. “So I would be here no matter how long it would take me.”

Sarabloo graduated from the Fashion Design Diploma at Toronto Film School in June 2016. Afterwards, she moved to Dubai with her family where she is currently working on her Summer 2018 collection, which will be suited to the weather in Dubai, and she is working towards participating in a fashion show there.

But when she was contacted by her former instructors at Toronto Film School and offered the opportunity to participate in the school’s show at Toronto Women’s Fashion Week, Sarabloo said she knew she couldn’t miss the opportunity, despite being nearly 7,000 miles away.

In fact, not only will she be at the fashion show on March 11, she hand delivered her garments a few weeks prior to the show, flying 13 hours in each direction, just to drop them off in time for the model fittings.

The runway show on March 11 is titled EMERGENCE and will feature more than 70 garments designed by an assembly of 15 talented designers from Toronto Film School’s Fashion Design Diploma.

To purchase tickets to the EMERGENCE visit tw-fw.com and use the promotion code STUFW30. Also, for all the behind the scenes photos and live coverage of the event on March 11, follow Toronto Film School on Instagram.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
