Meet Annie, Fashion Design Student and #MustHave16 Summer Dress Competition Finalist

Moving from China to Canada, Annie started her journey in Calgary and then moved to Toronto to study at University. After working for a few years, she decided she was interested in Fashion Design and wanted to follow her passion for becoming a Canadian Fashion Designer.

“Fashion is a very hard industry to get into. It is very competitive and it is very difficult to succeed so for a while I wasn’t sure if that was the route I was going to pursue. But, after studying in another program for so long, and actually working in an office environment, I realized what my true interests and passion lie in fashion.”

“What I really like about Toronto Film School, is that aside from Fashion Design, they have a lot of other creative programs. Currently, I am collaborating with one of the film students. He’s working on a short film and me and one of my classmates are doing costume design for his film.”

“My ultimate goal would be to have my own line and my own boutique. Fashion is such a fun career, but aside from the glamour there is a lot of hard work behind the scenes.”

“For students or for future students who would like to pursue this path, I would suggest that you are very committed and very determined, and you’re willing to put in the time and effort to see it through. In the end, you will see the fruit of your efforts and that’s really amazing.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
